Sanner Group strengthens its commercial leadership

8 September 2026

Sanner Group has appointed Jean-Edouard Rabier as Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO), effective September 1, 2026. The newly created position comes as the healthcare packaging and medical device CDMO continues to expand its international footprint.

The appointment follows Sanner’s acquisitions of Springboard and Gilero, as well as investments in manufacturing capacity in Germany and the United States. The group now brings together capabilities spanning pharmaceutical packaging, medical devices, diagnostics, drug delivery and consumer healthcare.

With more than 20 years of international commercial experience across the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, Rabier joins Sanner after leading Sales & Business Development for Pharma & Biopharma Solutions Injectables at Gerresheimer. He previously held senior positions at West and Aptar.

His role will focus on developing Sanner’s markets and customer relationships while leveraging the broader range of capabilities created through the group’s recent expansion.

Rabier succeeds Christian Classen, who is leaving Sanner to pursue a new professional opportunity. Classen played a key role in the development of the group’s CDMO activities and healthcare packaging business.
